How is the WBA connected with the Wisconsin State Fair Park?

 

Dave Schmidt, WBA executive director, runs the cream puff operation at Wisconsin State Fair Park.  Every year Dave hires approximately 200 employees that help make, bake, and sell Original Cream PuffsTM to hungry fairgoers.  The Cream Puff operation has been a success for both the WBA and the Wisconsin State Fair since 1924.  

 

The organization that oversees the Dairy Bakery Operation is called OCP Bakers, LLC.  This organization, which has its own board of managers, was created in 2006 and the inaugural board meeting was held April 24, 2007.  Dave Schmidt is the president of this organization.
 

The 2010 Wisconsin State Fair runs from Aug. 5-15.

The State Fair Cream Puff Tradition Celebrated its 85th Year in 2009!

Celebrity Cream Puff Eating Contest and Cream Puff Eating Contests for various age brackets held.  Congratulations to all competitors in all contests!  Dave Murphy from FM-95.7 was the Celebrity Cream Puff champion!  The local celebrities were surprised with a 5-pound Original Cream Puff made especially for them!  Whoever ate the most in the allotted time was crowned this year's winner.

We took over sponsorship of the building that houses the Dairy Bakery, which was renamed the Original Cream Puff Pavilion

Two satellite locations, near exits at the north and south sides of the park, allowed fairgoers opportunities to purchase 6-packs of Original Cream Puffs TM as they left the park.
