WBA announces 2010 Board of Directors

 

West Allis, WI—The Wisconsin Bakers Association (WBA) would like to announce its newly elected board members that will serve for the 2010-2011 term.  The board election was held through ballots mailed to the WBA membership this fall.

 

Elected to a two-year term in the Directors At-Large positions for 2010-2011 are Art Bartsch, The Swiss Colony, Monroe, Wis.; Susan Runkel, Sweetheart Cakes, Port Washington, Wis.; Judy Semrad, Muskego Marketplace Foods, Muskego, Wis.; Dawn Ebert, Simple Simon Bakery, Appleton, Wis.; Derek Van Alstyne, Sweet Creations Village Bakery, Slinger, Wis.; and Mike Vande Walle, Uncle Mike’s Bake Shoppe, De Pere, Wis.  Bartsch, Runkel and Semrad are new to the board.

 

“We look forward to serving our membership as we enter our 105 year,” said WBA Executive Director Dave Schmidt.  “Having Judy, Susan and Art step up to serve on the board for the first time will give us a new point of view as we move forward and they have all expressed their excitement to serve.  We are very enthused about the leadership that will carry us into our 105 year and beyond!”

 

The WBA Board of Directors consists of the Executive Committee which includes the president, vice president, treasurer, two board trustees, executive director; and allied representative.  The remaining board members consists of the eight directors at-large and the WBA past president.
